Daniel Baldwin, probably the least-known sibling in the Baldwin brothers acting brood, seems intent on making a name for himself on the police blotter.

The actor is currently being treated at UCLA Medical Center following a car crash in which he was driving at high speeds when he hit two parked cars early Wednesday (July 19) afternoon, report news sources.

Just before 1 p.m., Baldwin, who was driving a rented Ford Thunderbird with an unidentified female passenger, was weaving quickly through traffic in West LA, ran a red light and crashed into two parked cars. His speed was approximated at 80 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone, causing one of the impacted vehicles, a Hummer, to jump about 20 feet when hit.

Baldwin was taken to the hospital for possible neck and back injuries. He faces possible misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.

Just three months ago, Baldwin was arrested for cocaine possession in Santa Monica. He was released after a night in jail on $10,000 bail.

Baldwin's credits include "Homicide: Life On The Street," "NYPD Blue" and on the big screen, he appeared in such eclectic classics as "Born on the Fourth of July," "Car 54, Where Are You?," John Carpenter's "Vampires," "King of the Ants" and the yet to be released "The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell," which recently premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
