This year, Daniel Baldwin was picked up for drug possession and then three months later, he was facing a reckless driving charge. His latest escapade includes both drugs and a car.
The "Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell" actor was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 7 in Santa Monica, Calif., and then booked on charges of grand theft auto and possessing illegal drugs, reports TMZ.com.
The owner of a 2003 GMC Yukon reported their car stolen to OnStar, who tracked the car and led police to the stolen vehicle outside a Santa Monica hotel. After witnessing Baldwin climbing into the vehicle, cops searched his motel room and allegedly found narcotics and paraphernalia.
Baldwin, 46, was held at the Santa Monica jail on $20,000 bail, but then was transferred to the Orange County Sheriffs Department, the county from which the Yukon was stolen.
Baldwin's previous drug case, in which he was found with cocaine in another Santa Monica hotel in April, is still pending. In July, he was driving in the UCLA Medical Center, ran a red light and crashed into two parked cars. He had a suspended license at the time.
Baldwin's credits include "Homicide: Life On The Street," "NYPD Blue" and on the big screen, he appeared in such eclectic classics as "Born on the Fourth of July," "Car 54, Where Are You?," John Carpenter's "Vampires," "King of the Ants" and the yet to be released "The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell."
He's also the brother of actors Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock"), Stephen ("The Usual Suspects") and William ("Backdraft").Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
