Garret Dillahunt is joining the cast of FOX's "The Sarah Connor Chronicles," his first regular network gig since he played Jesus on NBC's "The Book of Daniel."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dillahunt will play a mysterious character named Cromartie in "Sarah Connor," which picks up the "Terminator" franchise in the aftermath of the second film.
Although "Book of Daniel" attracted controversy for its religious depictions, it didn't last very long, so Dillahunt is probably better know for his two roles on HBO's "Deadwood" and a recent turn in the premium cable network's "John from Cincinnati." On the big screen, you can catch Dillahunt in the just-released "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" and in the upcoming "No Country for Old Men."
The HR is just full of casting news, including info that Paul Schultze will play an FBI agent in NBC's "Journeyman." Depending on your context, Schultze is either most familiar as Father Phil from early episodes of "The Sopranos" or Chappelle from "24." He recently appeared on episode of "Mad Men."
Also at NBC, Jennifer Siebel ("In the Valley of Elah") has been cast in "Life" as the ex-wife of Damian Lewis' character.
In other casting news, Adam Rose will play the best friend of the misfit lead (Dan Byrd) of The CW's "Aliens in America."
