'Women in Trouble'

Zap2It

Writer-director Sebastian Gutierrez assembles an impressive cast that's largely female-driven – no surprise, given the title – in this anthology of several stories that unfold in a 24-hour period. They include a porn star (Carla Gugino, the filmmaker's significant other) facing unexpected parenthood, and getting unexpected counsel from a fellow passenger (Connie Britton, "Friday Night Lights") in a stuck elevator; a therapist (Sarah Clarke, "24") getting some advice herself; and a stewardess (Marley Shelton) who thinks about making a flight much more eventful with someone on board. Emmanuelle Chriqui ("Entourage") also appears. *** (R: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray)
