The Disney Channel smells what The Rock is cooking ... publicity for his latest film.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will guest star on the cable network's "Cory in the House" and "Hannah Montana" on Friday, Sept. 21. His appearance in the so-called "Rock Block" precedes the Sept. 28 opening of his Disney film, "The Game Plan."
The night begins at 8 p.m. ET/PT with the "Cory" episode in which Johnson, playing himself, is hired by President Martinez (John D'Aquino) to be the Presidential Advisor on Physical Fitness. Through a series of comic blunders, Cory (Kyle Massey) and his friends interfere with the adults' meeting and The Rock ends up having tea with First Daughter Sophie, who just happens to be played by Johnson's "Game Plan" co-star Madison Pettis.
Half an hour later, The Rock heads over to "Hannah Montana" and becomes the target of Miley (Miley Cyrus) and Lily's (Emily Osment) scheming. Since Miley's dad won't get her the most fabulous, coveted Z-phone, Miley tries to raise the money to buy it herself by sending a photo of herself as alter ego Hannah Montana to the tabloids. A horrible error in the photo, however, threatens to reveal Hannah's true identity as Miley, and the girls scramble to snap another photo -- of the Rock -- to trade to the tabloids.
Johnson has guest starred on "MAD TV," "Saturday Night Live," "That '70s Show" and "Star Trek: Voyager." His big-screen credits include "The Scorpion King," "The Rundown," "Doom," "Gridiron Gang" and the upcoming "Get Smart" remake.
"Game Plan" stars Johnson as a big-shot NFL quarterback whose bachelor lifestyle is thrown for a loop after he realizes he fathered a daughter (Pettis) when she shows up on his doorstep with a birth certificate as proof.
