Eddie Murphy's part-time lover, former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, is going to be a full-time mother.
Scary Spice was shopping in West Hollywood's La Bra Lingerie boutique Saturday, Oct. 14 when she revealed that she was four months pregnant, reports TMZ.com. According to the celebrity gossip site, Brown discussed the impending birth, her fatigue and how she may be carrying twins since they apparently run in Murphy's family.
Rumor has it that the couple is planning to walk down the aisle in November. Brown also has a 7-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, from a previous relationship.
Murphy was officially divorced from his wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy on April 17 in Los Angeles. The couple has five children -- Bria, Myles, Shane, Zola Ivy and Bella Zahra -- together. Murphy also has a son, Christian, from a previous relationship.
At the height of Murphy's comedic heyday, he starred on "Saturday Night Live" and in a string of hit films such as "48 Hours," "Trading Places," "Beverly Hills Cop" and "Coming to America." Over the years, he's switched to family films, including a few franchises -- "Shrek," "Dr. Dolittle" and "Nutty Professor."
Next up is the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical "Dreamgirls" in December co-starring Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Foxx and the third "Shrek" film, which is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2007 release.
Brown also has a big-screen credit, the oh so memorable "Spice World."Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
