Expect to see: "Boardwalk Empire" ended its second season in a disturbing flurry of incest, betrayal and murder, so Season 3 will reveal how the characters have coped with the fallout. Starting off at a New Year¿s party ringing in 1923 -- at least a year after the Season 2 finale -- this season will see Nucky Thompson shuffling between his struggle for power, his marital problems with his newly-pious wife Margaret and a slew of power-hungry enemies including gangster Gyp Rosetti (new addition Bobby Cannavale).

Racial tensions and war between opposing gangsters will play out along with anti-corruption pressure from government agencies. Jimmy Darmody's son Tommy will now be under the care of his manipulative grandmother Gillian. Meanwhile, things could get messy in the Midwest for the Chicago gangsters and Agent Van Alden, who is on the lam with his baby in Illinois.
