Before finally getting around to his fourth tour of duty as Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford will join Ray Liotta and Sean Penn in the drama "Crossing Over."
According to Variety, the Weinstein Company-produced border saga will begin production later this month with Wayne Kramer ("The Cooler") directing from his own script.
Ford will play an enforcement agent, with Liotta as a bureaucrat of some sort and Penn as a border patrol agent. Penn's part is described as a cameo and the trade paper says that a variety of other actors will also drop in for roles in the ensemble.
"Indiana Jones and the Quest for Profit" (not the actual title) begins production this summer and will hit theaters in May 2008. Recent credits for the hit-starved Ford include "Firewall," "Hollywood Homicide" and "K-19: The Widowmaker."
In addition to his short-lived CBS drama "Smith," Liotta was most recently seen in "Wild Hogs" and "Smokin' Aces."
Penn has mostly been at work directing "Into the Wild," though his version of "All the King's Men" briefly appeared in theaters in 2006.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
