'Incredible Hulk,' 1978-1982

The powers were rage-induced super-strength and invulnerability. The villains were drug lords, corrupt cops, duplicitous family members, and others who prey on the helpless. The tone? They were going for poignant, but it's hard to take things too seriously when you've got Lou Ferrigno painted green and flexing.
