There are dozens of speaking roles on HBO's "Game of Thrones," ranging from lords and ladies to handmaidens to small children. Even if you're well-versed in George R.R. Martin's fantasy novels, which are set in the fictional realm of Westeros and form the basis for the series, you might still need a scorecard to keep all the faces (and their various allegiances) straight. The series does, however, focus on a (relatively) small group of characters, similar to the way that chapters in Martin's books are told through the eyes of a single character. For those unfamiliar with Martin's novels -- or anyone who might need a little refresher -- here's a rundown of the primary characters in "Game of Thrones." -- Rick Porter and Terri Schwartz, Zap2it Related: All of Zap2it's 'Game of Thrones' coverage
