Jennifer Garner is in final negotiations to co-star with Ricky Gervais in the comedy "This Side of the Truth."
Gervais and Matthew Robinson are co-writing and co-directing the project, which focuses on a land in which lying doesn't exist. Gervais will play the first man to discover the gift of mendacity.
According to the industry trades, Garner would be the out-of-his-league woman who suddenly becomes accessible thanks to the wonders of lying.
Financed by Media Rights Capital and produced by Lynda Obst and Oly Obst, "This Side of the Truth" will begin production next spring.
Before the recent stagehands strike, Garner was appearing on Broadway in "Cyrano de Bergerac." The "Alias" star's last big screen project was this fall's "The Kingdom," while she'll next be seen in the winter Oscar hopeful "Juno." After finishing her Broadway run she'll transition into "The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" with Matthew McConaughey.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
