Ben Affleck now has two trophies to rub in the academy's faces. He took the Golden Globe for best director for his film "Argo." When accepting the award Affleck downplayed the snub while praising his fellow nominees saying, "I don't care what the award is, when they put your name next to the names she just read off it's an extraordinary thing." He also took a moment to thank Paul Thomas Anderson, who was not nominated, comparing him to Orson Welles. Affleck ended his speech thanking his wife, Jennifer Garner, and kids, saying they're his "everything."
