Jerry Rice Gets in 'The Game'

After taking a turn around the "Dancing With the Stars" dance floor, Jerry Rice will take on a more familiar task -- being himself.

The former NFL receiver will make a guest appearance playing himself on the CW comedy "The Game."

On the show he will offer encouragement and the wisdom of a retired football star to the newly drafted San Diego Sabers receiver Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall). The show revolves around professional football players and the women in their lives.

The episode, titled "The Iceman Cometh," will air the day after the Super Bowl, on Monday, Feb. 5. That means that fans can get twice the Rice: He first makes a guest appearance on CBS' "The Class," which airs at 8:30 that night before moving on to "The Game" an hour later on The CW.

Rice, 44, was also the runnerup on the second season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
