Actress Kiele Sanchez, who acted on three different shows last season -- none of which made it to this season -- is about to get some more stable work.
Although, given that her new gig is on "Lost," maybe "stable" isn't the right word. We do feel safe in saying, though, that more people are likely to watch her on the ABC hit than on "Related," "Four Kings" or "Modern Men," all of which she appeared in during the 2005-06 season.
Per usual, there's little information available about the character Sanchez will be playing on "Lost." The showbiz trade papers report she'll be playing a denizen of the island and, possibly, a love interest for another new addition to the cast, Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro. Speculation has been that Santoro will be playing one of the mysterious Others, which could mean Sanchez will be another Other.
Sanchez starred as one of four sisters in The WB's "Related" last season, replacing Laura San Giacomo after the show's first pilot was filmed. Before taking that role, she also did guest spots in the pilots of NBC's "Four Kings" and The WB's comedy "Modern Men."
Her credits also include two other ABC shows, 2004's "Married to the Kellys" and the short-lived 2002 drama "That Was Then." She starred in an ABC pilot called "Girls on the Bus" during this spring's development cycle.
Sanchez is the third addition to the "Lost" cast for the show's third season. In addition to Santoro, Elizabeth Mitchell ("Running Scared," "The Lyon's Den") has also joined the series.
