Woody Allen has looked to the small screen for a new leading man, recruiting the star of CBS' "Numbers."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Krumholtz is joining the cast of Allen's next comedy, which will be filmed and set in Paris.
Little is known about the film except that it will apparently focus on young Americans living in Paris. The only other announced member of the cast is recent Oscar nominee Michelle Williams ("Brokeback Mountain," "Dawson's Creek"). Production is slated to begin this summer.
The math-centric "Numbers," which co-stars Rob Morrow, has been a reliable Friday night success for CBS. Krumholtz plays a mathematical whiz whose gifts prove reliably helpful for the FBI.
Like a sizeable portion of Hollywood's acting population, Krumholtz is part of Emilio Estevez's "Bobby" ensemble. His other feature credits include "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle," "The Santa Clause" and "Slums of Beverly Hills."
