Michelle Rodriguez is out from her brief stint in jail and is now free to continue her exile on a mysterious island.
The "Lost" actress, who pleaded guilty to drunken driving on Tuesday, April 24, served most of her five-day sentence and was released from the Oahu Cummunity Correctional Center on Friday, according to published reports.
Rodriguez's sentence wasn't cut short for good behavior, rather she was given credit for the 65 hours of custody she spent in jail after her arrest last December. Inmates receive full credit for any portion of the day served.
During her incarceration, the actress lived in a dormitory with 60 other female inmates and was allowed to read and watch TV. Perhaps "Lost" was on the schedule? Her one duty, besides being on her best behavior, was to keep her area clean.
Rodriguez, 27, opted for the jail time versus 240 hours of community service. Her "Lost" co-star Cynthia Watros was also pulled over for drunken driving on the same night last year. She was fined, ordered to attend an alcohol-education program and had her driver's license suspended for 90 days.
Rodriguez's probation for a 2004 DUI conviction is in jeopardy after this latest violation. A hearing this week will decide whether or not her probation will be revoked.
She currently plays antagonistic police officer Ana Lucia on ABC's hit drama.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
