'Chicago Fire'

What we said then: "Between the name of the show and the billboards of beefy firemen brooding intently, NBC has told you exactly what you're getting when you tune in."

What we say now: We're actually loving it! "Chicago Fire" has proven itself to be about more than bulging muscles and sweaty storage room makeout sessions (though that's there, too). Where the "Law & Order" franchise focuses heavily on the case-of-the-week and the cops' personal lives take a backseat, "Chicago Fire" strikes a better balance between work and home. With high stakes, strong performances, and an unlikely family to get invested in, "Chicago Fire" is worth getting heated up over.
