Now that Nicole Kidman has returned to Australia, she's sure to get to the church on time.
In a joint statement released Monday (June 19), the Oscar-winning actress and her fiancee Keith Urban confirmed that they are indeed Down Under for their nuptials.
"We are very happy to be back in Australia," reads the announcement. "We have come home to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends."
Most of the media have speculated that the wedding will take place Sunday, June 25 at a Catholic church in northern Sydney. Previous reports insist that Kidman has gone through extreme lengths -- such as reserving all the helicopters that day -- to keep the media out.
Kidman, turning 39 on Tuesday, and Urban, 38, were first seen together last year. In May, the actress confirmed their engagement. There have been no comments about her rumored pregnancy.
Kidman was previously married to Cruise for 10 years and adopted two children, Isabella and Connor, with him. In February 2001, he filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. After each of them dated various celebrities, Kidman finally found Urban and Cruise became engaged to former "Dawson's Creek" actress Katie Holmes, who recently gave birth to his daughter, Suri.
Kidman, who won an Oscar playing Virginia Woolf in "The Hours," next portrays another real-life person, photographer Diane Arbus in "Fur." She's currently shooting an untitled project for "The Squid and the Whale" filmmaker Noah Baumbach in New York and then will film Wong Kar Wai's update of Orson Welles' thriller "The Lady From Shanghai."
Urban became the first artist to win Male Vocalist of the Year (2004, 2005), Entertainer of the Year (2005) and the Horizon Award (2001) at the Country Music Association Awards. He also won a Grammy in 2005 for best male country vocal performanceCopyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
