Hayden Panettiere Cheers Again

What is it about Hayden Panettiere and cheerleading uniforms? That was a rhetorical question, pervs.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Heroes" and "Bring It On: All or Nothing" pom-pom waver may do cheerleader duty again on the Fox Atomic coming-of-age drama "I Love You, Beth Cooper."

Based on the novel by former "Simpsons" scribe Larry Doyle, "Beth Cooper" will be produced by Christopher Columbus and his 1492 Pictures shingle. The "Bicentennial Man" director is also in talks to helm.

In "Beth Cooper," a nerdy high school valedictorian uses his graduation speech to express his love for head cheerleader Beth Cooper (Panettiere). When the amused hottie shows up at the valedictorian's ill-attended graduation party, a night of wild hijinx ensues.

Fox Atomic hopes to have "I Love You, Beth Cooper" in production later this spring.

Other credits for Panettiere include "Remember the Titans," "Ice Princess" and the upcoming "Fireflies in the Garden."
