Miller Gets Bossy in 'Blonde Ambition'

Penelope Ann Miller, who appeared on FOX's "Vanished," will make a reappearance opposite Jessica Simpson.

The 42-year-old actress has signed on to costar in "Blonde Ambition," a loose remake of "Working Girl."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Miller will play the Sigourney Weaver role of the manipulating and conniving boss. Simpson's character, which was played in the '80s film by Melanie Griffith, is trying to cut it in the business world, but finds it difficult pleasing her boss.

Miller joins the already cast Luke Wilson, Andy Dick, Rachael Leigh Cook and Jamie Kennedy for the Scott Marshall-directed film.

Miller will next be seen opposite Chevy Chase in "Funny Money," in theaters on Jan. 19, and a couple weeks later in "The Messengers." Her other films include "Adventures in Babysitting," "Biloxi Blues," "The Freshman," "Carlito's Way," "Chaplin," "The Shadow" and "Along Came a Spider." She's also appeared on the small screen in "Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story" and on "CSI: NY" and "Desperate Housewives."
