Kurt Russell as "Robert Ramsey" You Know Him From: Since the '60s, Russell has been a regular presence in television and film, with credits ranging from "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" to "Escape From New York" to "Sky High." Who's Robert? A former fireman and mayor of New York, Robert's a hero to everybody but his daughter (Emmy Rossum), who's hiding her engagement to Christian (Mike Vogel). Water, Spores and Debris Make Russell a Sick Man: "I had illnesses. I had sicknesses. You get cuts and bruises and stuff like that. That's what you do. But I got H Influenza and the doctor didn't pick it up. So I didn't have an antibiotic. So for about a month I was very sick." But Things Could Have Been Worse: "Nobody will ever do a movie harder than "Backdraft.'" Who Needs Dialogue? "My feeling about The Poseidon Adventure, if it were my movie, I'd make it a silent movie. I think it'd be one of the greatest silent movies ever. I think this movie could be a great silent movie. It's a very different style, but it's in fact the kind of movie that it is. I also think I would implore you to watch 'Troy' [Wolfgang Petersen's last film] with the sound turned off."
