FOX Rolls on Wednesday

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007

"American Idol" didn't draw as big an audience as it sometimes does Wednesday (and neither did "Lost"), but FOX still scored a solid ratings win.

FOX averaged an 11.9 rating/18 share for the night, beating CBS, 9.4/14, for the top spot. ABC came in third with a 6.1/9. NBC, 5.4/8, finished fourth, and The CW trailed with a 2.4/4.

Among adults 18-49, FOX's 8.1 rating led the way. CBS grabbed second in the key ad-sales demographic with a 4.3, just beating ABC's 4.2. NBC averaged 2.6 and The CW 1.7.

FOX's "Bones" won the 8 p.m. hour with an 8.0/12, once again benefiting from its pre-"Idol" spot. CBS repeated the post-Super Bowl "Criminal Minds," drawing a 7.0/11. "Friday Night Lights" took third for NBC with a 4.4/7. "George Lopez" and "The Knights of Prosperity" were fourth for ABC, while "Beauty and the Geek" scored a 2.8/4 for The CW.

"American Idol's" final audition episode earned a 15.8/23 for FOX at 9 p.m. A new "Criminal Minds," 11.0/16, scored above its season average but didn't see a huge Super Bowl bounce. "Deal or No Deal," 6.4/9, kept NBC in third. A "Lost Survivor Guide" clip show scored a 5.6/8 for ABC. "One Tree Hill" closed the night for The CW.

At 10 p.m., "CSI: NY" posted a 10.2/16 for CBS, winning the hour in viewers over the return of ABC's "Lost," 8.5/14, which was well below its season average (but did win the hour in adults 18-49). NBC's "Medium" was third at 5.4/8.
