Fast National ratings for Thursday, March 20, 2008.
NCAA Tournament hoops gave CBS a slower-than-normal Thursday, letting NBC slip in and split the night.
Among adults 18-49, though, CBS came out on top with a 3.3 rating and ABC moved to second with a 3.0 rating. Down to third with a 2.8 rating in the key demo, NBC at least held off FOX's 2.4 rating, while The CW had a 1.3 rating.
NBC started the night in first with a 6.6/11 for "Deal or No Deal." CBS' basketball was second with a 5.5/9, as ABC's "Miss Guided" had a 4.3/7 for two new episodes. FOX was fourth with "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader," leaving The CW in fifth with the 2.2/4 for "Smallville."
Although its ratings continue to slip, "Lost" put ABC in first at 9 p.m. with a 7.0/11. CBS' basketball was second, holding off the 5.9/9 for NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice." FOX had a 4.9/8 for "Don't Forget the Lyrics." On The CW, "Reaper" held onto most of its lead-in with a 1.9/3.
At 10 p.m. there was a bit of a ratings anomaly. NBC's "Lipstick Jungle" finished first in ratings with a 5.1/9, but last in average viewership, behind ABC's "Eli Stone," which had a 4.9/8 and CBS' basketball.
