'Idol' Results Carry Wednesday

FOX scored another across-the-board ratings win Wednesday, with "Bones" and "'Til Death" doing their part to support "American Idol."

For the night, FOX averaged a 9.2 rating/15 share. CBS came in second with a 6.3/10. ABC, 4.9/8, edged NBC, 4.8/8, for third. The CW earned a 2.8/5.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX's 5.4 rating was the clear leader, with ABC a good ways back in second at 3.0. CBS, 2.7, finished third, followed by NBC, 2.2, and The CW, 2.0.

"Bones" put FOX on top at 8 p.m. with a 6.6/11. "Jericho," 5.1/9, grabbed second place for CBS. A pair of "George Lopez" episodes on ABC finished third. "Friday Night Lights" delivered a 3.7/6 for NBC, edging out "America's Next Top Model," 3.5/6, on The CW.

Though down some from last week, the "American Idol" results show, 15.1/24, and "'Til Death," 8.5/13, still ruled the 9 p.m. hour for FOX. CBS stayed in second with a "Criminal Minds" rerun, 6.7/11. "Crossing Jordan," 5.0/8, was third for NBC, beating ABC's "According to Jim," 3.7/6, and "In Case of Emergency," 3.3/5. The CW reran Tuesday's episode of "The Search for the Next Doll."

ABC took the lead at 10 p.m. as "Lost" posted a 7.1/12. CBS was right behind with a "CSI: NY" repeat, 7.0/12. NBC's "Medium" came in at 5.7/9.
