The odd 1-2 punch of "60 Minutes" and "Big Brother" helped CBS to a ratings victory Sunday night.

CBS earned a 4.9 rating/9 share for the night, easily trumping NBC's 3.6/7. ABC finished third at 3.1/6. FOX, 2.8/5, came in fourth, while The CW managed only a 0.7/1.

FOX won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.2 rating. CBS took second at 1.8, followed by ABC, 1.5, and NBC, 1.4. The CW was well below the 1.0 mark.

CBS' "60 Minutes" scored the night's biggest audience at 7 p.m. with a 5.9/12. An "America's Funniest Home Videos" rerun on ABC was second at 3.2/7. "Dateline," 2.7/6, put NBC in third, ahead of "'Til Death" and "King of the Hill" on FOX. The CW went with a "Smallville" rerun.

"Big Brother" kept CBS on top at 8 p.m. with a 5.0/9. "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" drew a 4.2/8 for ABC. A second hour of "Dateline" finished third in households for ABC, but a pair of "Family Guy" reruns, 3.1/6, drew more total viewers to FOX. The CW aired a special called "Schooled" that next to no one watched, registering a meager 0.5/1.

At 9 p.m., a "Cold Case" repeat posted a 4.8/8 for CBS. NBC moved up to second in households with "Law & Order," 3.9/7, although two more episodes of "Family Guy" (3.7/6 and 3.8/6) gave FOX the No. 2 spot in viewers. "Desperate Housewives" snagged a 2.7/5 for ABC. The CW aired a repeat of "The Search for the Next Doll."

"Law & Order: SVU" claimed the lead for NBC at 10 p.m. with a 4.3/8. A "Shark" rerun, 4.0/7, on CBS was second, while ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" came in at 2.3/4.

On Saturday, CBS led in households with a 3.2/7, but FOX, 3.1/6, had a few more viewers. NBC and ABC each averaged 1.9/4.
