Dem 'Bones' Help FOX to Wednesday Victory

Another night of premieres on FOX led the network to a ratings win Wednesday, but not by much.

FOX scored a 5.7 rating/9 share for the night to beat out CBS' 5.4/9. ABC came in third with a 4.8/8. NBC, 3.9/6, finished fourth. UPN and The WB tied for fifth at 1.2/2.

The FOX premieres also earned an adults 18-49 win for the network, averaging a 2.8 rating. CBS, 2.6, was second, followed closely by ABC, 2.5. NBC took fourth with a 1.9 and UPN and The WB tied at 0.7.

The second-season premiere of "Bones" put FOX on top at 8 p.m. with a 5.5/10. "Most Outrageous Moments," 4.2/7, was second in households for NBC, although it and CBS' "Rock Star" results show (4.1/7) finished in a dead heat among total viewers. ABC averaged 3.4/6 with two episodes of "George Lopez." An hour of "Blue Collar TV" on The WB beat "Everybody Hates Chris" and "All of Us" reruns on UPN.

CBS moved into the lead at 9 p.m. with a "Criminal Minds" rerun, 6.1/10. The debut of "Justice" on FOX built a little on its lead-in to score a 5.8/9. A "20/20" special called "Last Days on Earth" drew a 5.2/9 for ABC. NBC got a 3.1/5 from two episodes of "Scrubs." "Girlfriends" and "Half & Half" moved UPN ahead of The WB's "One Tree Hill."

"CSI: NY," 6.1/10, kept CBS in front at 10 p.m. "Last Days on Earth" improved slightly to 5.6/9 for ABC, while a "Law & Order" rerun on NBC posted a 4.3/8.
