Hornsby will be a regular on the second season of the drama about a therapist ( Gabriel Byrne) and his patients. In other casting news, The CW has cast Brittany Robertson in its pilot "Light Years," James Badge Dale has joined AMC's political thriller and Eva Amurri and Kimberly Quinn have joined Showtime's "Possible Side Effects," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
On "In Treatment," Hornsby will play one of psychotherapist Paul Weston's (Byrne) regular patients, a divorced guy with a 12-year-old son. The second season of the half-hour drama is scheduled to premiere sometime next year.
The CW's "Light Years," written by "Brothers & Sisters" scribe Liz Tigelaar, will star Robertson ("Swingtown") as a 15-year-old whose parents gave her up for adoption. She tracks them down, and they slowly start to build family ties.
At AMC, Dale ("24," HBO's upcoming "The Pacific") has taken the lead role in a thriller from writer Jason Horwitch. He'll play a think-tank analyst who uncovers a conspiracy at the highest levels of government.
"Possible Side Effects" stars Josh Lucas as the head of a family that runs a pharmaceutical company. Amurri ("Saved!") -- the daughter of Susan Sarandon, whose partner Tim Robbins created the show -- will play Lucas' daughter, and Quinn ("House," "Two and a Half Men") will play his wife.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
