Oh, oh, here she comes.
Sarah Chalke has signed on as Lifetime's "Maneater," the catty and ambitious protagonist of the cable channel's four-hour miniseries based on Gigi Levangie Grazer's book of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Maneater" revolves around shallow and self-centered Clarissa Alpert (Chalke), a fabulous, designer-name toting, thirtysomething socialite who decides it's high time found herself a husband. With her four equally superficial friends, she plots to land herself the perfect husband, the hottest young producer in town.
Timothy Busfield is on board to direct the miniseries, which will be adapted by Suzanne Martin. She and Grazer, who also wrote the book-turned-series "The Starter Wife" on USA, will executive produce alongside 3 Arts' Stephanie Davis.
Chalke is familiar to TV fans as Elliot on "Scrubs". She also starred in the Lifetime movie "Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy."
