Sean Young Checks into Rehab

Following a rather embarrassing public incident, Sean Young is taking responsibility for her behavior and has checked into rehab for alcohol abuse.

The 48-year-old "Blade Runner" actress voluntarily admitted herself into the treatment center on Monday, Jan. 28, according to a statement released by her rep, which also read, "It is understood that Young has struggled against the disease for many years."

The public became aware of this longtime struggle this past Saturday (Jan. 26) when Young could be heard heckling "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" director Julian Schnabel during his acceptance speech at the Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles, telling him to "Hurry up with the speech." Schnabel responded, "Have another cocktail, sweetheart, or would you rather finish my speech for me?" The exchange continued for a bit until Young was escorted from the venue.

This isn't the first time Young has exhibited bizarre behavior. She also notoriously donned a homemade catsuit in a bid to land the role of Catwoman in "Batman Returns," tried to crash the Vanity Fair Oscar party in 2006 and had a harassment lawsuit filed against her by James Woods following their work on 1988's "The Boost."

Young is a former model who's known for her parts in "Stripes," "Blade Runner" and "No Way Out." She recently appeared on "CSI," "ER" and "One Tree Hill."
