Marley Shelton will take the female lead opposite Rufus Sewell in CBS' drama pilot "Eleventh Hour," from producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
"Eleventh Hour" is based on a British limited series and will star Sewell as a professor-turned-government advisor who travels the country investigating abuses of science. He's accompanied by a feisty female bodyguard, to be played by Shelton, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the original British production, the lead roles were played by Patrick Stewart and Ashley Jensen.
Mick Davis wrote the American version of "The Eleventh Hour," which will be directed by Danny Cannon, the helmer behind the pilot of Bruckheimer's "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
Shelton was most recently seen in both the "Death Proof" and "Planet Terror" segments of the Rodriguez-Tarantino "Grindhouse." Her other credits include "Sin City," "Sugar and Spice" and "Warriors of Virtue."Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
