Joshua Jackson

Last TV role: "Fringe" (2013)

Why we want him back: If there's anything we learned from that cold, dark period between 2003 and 2008, it's that a television landscape without Josh Jackson in it is cold and dark. He's got just the right balance of charm and sarcasm, and he's just as good at making epic romantic gestures as he is at blowing up bad guys.

Suggested role: We wouldn't mind seeing him on "Scandal" -- after hiring Scott Foley, Shonda Rhimes has proven herself to be old-school-WB-friendly. Plus, he could wear a lot of peacoats on that show, and we like seeing him in peacoats. He could also reunite with Julie Plec and Greg Berlanti, both of whom worked on "Dawson's Creek," and join The CW's "Tomorrow People" as John, a man with telekinetic powers.
