The Rock Makes a 'Smart' Career Move

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Terence "The Limey" Stamp are the latest actors to join the big screen cast for "Get Smart."

Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway have long been attached to play the leads in the Peter Segal-directed version of the TV sitcom, which was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry.

According to Variety, Johnson will play the newly created Agent 23, while Stamp will play one of the film's big baddies.

Johnson had an early fall success with "Gridiron Gang." Upcoming films for the "Scorpion King" and "Doom" star include "Southland Tales" and "The Game Plan."

Stamp will have to be forgiven for recent appearances in "Elektra," "The Haunted Mansion" and "My Boss's Daughter," but with other credits like "The Limey," "Superman II" and "Billy Budd," his reputation should be OK.
