TV Ratings: Another Easy Friday for CBS

Fast National ratings for Friday, Feb. 27, 2009

Friday's ratings followed their typical pattern, which is to say CBS stood well apart from everyone else.

CBS averaged a 6.4 rating/11 share and 10.1 million viewers for the night, way ahead of second-place ABC (3.8/7, 5.79 million). NBC took third with a 3.0/5, topping the 2.6/5 for FOX. The CW drew a 0.9/2.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS was the only network to break the 2.0 mark, finishing with a 2.2. ABC finished second with a 1.7. FOX and NBC tied for third at 1.4, and The CW trailed with a 0.5.

"Ghost Whisperer" grabbed the night's biggest audience at 8 p.m., scoring a 7.2/13 for CBS. ABC was a distant second with "Wife Swap," 3.1/5. "Howie Do It" put NBC in third, beating the 2.2/4 for "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" on FOX. Reruns of "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" averaged 0.9/2 for The CW.

CBS stayed on top at 9 with "Flashpoint," 5.9/10. "Supernanny" delivered a 3.7/6 for ABC. FOX's "Dollhouse" earned a 2.6/5, on par with last week and tying for third in the hour with NBC's "Friday Night Lights." The CW ended its night with more "Chris" and "The Game."

"Numb3rs" finished off the CBS sweep with a 6.1/11 at 10 p.m. ABC's "20/20" posted a 4.7/8, and "Dateline" drew a 3.9/7 for NBC.
