Fast National ratings for Friday, March 28, 2009
Not that it needs to air anything special on Fridays to win the ratings race, but NCAA Basketball certainly didn't hurt CBS' standing. The network took home a win for the night in households with a 6.4 rating/11 share. ABC was second witha 4.6/8, followed by NBC's 2.9/5, FOX's 2.5/4 and The CW's 1.2/2.
Among 18 to 49-year-olds, CBS was also tops with a 3.6. ABC managed a 2.0 over FOX, 1.3, and NBC, 1.2. The CW was last with a 0.7.
CBS aired basketball for all three hours of primetime, winning every hour handily. At 8 p.m., ABC came in second with "Wife Swap," 3.9/7, while FOX and NBC tied for third with "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and "Howie Do It," 2.5/5. "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" averaged a 1.2/2 for The CW.
At 9 p.m., ABC remained in second place with "Supernanny," 4.5/8 while FOX and NBC continued to be tied for third with "Dollhouse" and "Friday Night Lights," 2.5/4. A reairing of "America's Next Top Model" mustered a 1.2/2 for The CW.
ABC finished the night at 10 p.m. "20/20," 5.5/10, while with FOX out of the way, NBC claimed third for itself with "Dateline," 3.7/7.
