TV ratings: 'Ghost Whisperer' return leads Friday

The return of "Ghost Whisperer" to CBS helped carry the network to another ratings victory Friday.

CBS averaged a 6.0 rating/11 share in primetime to win by a comfortable margin over ABC, 3.5/6. NBC finished third with a 2.8/5. FOX, 2.2/4, came in fourth, and The CW trailed at 1.0/2.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS (2.2 rating) was the only network to break the 2.0 mark. ABC, 1.7, grabbed second, followed by FOX, 1.3, and NBC, 1.2. The CW scored a 0.6.

"Ghost Whisperer's" first new episode in several weeks drew a 6.3/12 at 8 p.m. A "Wife Swap" rerun, 3.1/5, put ABC in second. "Howie Do It" took third for NBC, a little ahead of the finale of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," 2.2/4, on FOX. Reruns of "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" averaged 1.0/2 for The CW.

CBS stayed on top at 9 with "Flashpoint," 5.9/11. "Supernanny," 3.5/6, was second for ABC. The season finale of "Friday Night Lights," 2.6/5, kept NBC ahead of FOX and "Dollhouse," 2.2/4 (FOX had a slightly better adults 18-49 rating). The CW aired a repeat of "America's Next Top Model."

"Numb3rs," 5.9/11, finished the CBS sweep at 10 p.m. ABC got a 3.9/7 from "20/20," while "Dateline" earned a 3.5/6 for NBC.
