Fast National ratings for Friday, May 8, 2009
CBS' drama lineup snagged another ratings victory Friday, while the finale of "Dollhouse" fell to its lowest numbers of the season.
CBS averaged a 5.8 rating/11 share in primetime, easily beating the 3.2/6 for second-place ABC. NBC finished a close third at 3.1/6. FOX earned a 1.8/3 to take fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.2/2.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS snagged a 2.0 rating and was the only network to crack that barrier. ABC and NBC tied for second at 1.2. FOX drew a 1.0 and The CW a 0.7.
"Ghost Whisperer" put CBS on top at 8 o'clock with a 5.9/11. The movie "Happy Feet" drew a 3.1/6 for ABC, beating out the 2.0/4 for "Prison Break" on FOX. NBC came in fourth with "Howie Do It," while The CW averaged 1.2/2 with "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game."
CBS held the lead at 9 thanks to "Flashpoint," 5.5/10. "Dateline NBC" took second in households with a 3.3/6, but "Happy Feet," 3.1/6, brought more viewers to ABC. The "Dollhouse" finale managed only a 1.7/3 for FOX, although that was still good enough to beat an "America's Next Top Model" rerun on The CW.
