Fast National ratings for Thursday, June 4, 2009
ABC averaged a 5.7 rating/10 share and 9.4 million viewers in primetime to lead the night (its numbers will likely go up when ratings are adjusted to account for the live NBA telecast). CBS took second with a 4.9/8, edging FOX's 4.6/8. NBC drew a 3.6/6 for fourth, and The CW trailed with a 0.9/2.
ABC also scored an easy victory among adults 18-49 with a 3.8 rating. FOX grabbed second in the demographic with a 2.4. CBS and NBC tied for third at 1.6, while The CW could only draw a 0.4.
" Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night" and the NBA pre-game show averaged 4.4/8 for ABC at 8 p.m. A "Bones" rerun, 4.1/7, put FOX in second. Repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Old Christine" were third in households for CBS, but "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" (3.5/6) on NBC had a few more viewers. The CW's "Smallville" rerun earned a 1.0/2.
The NBA Finals between the Lakers and the Orlando Magic earned a 6.4/11 at 9 p.m., in line with Game 1 of last year's Finals. "So You Think You Can Dance," 5.1/9, took second in viewers for FOX, even though CBS' "CSI" rerun, 5.2/9, had a slightly better household rating. The premiere of "The Listener" on NBC didn't make much noise with a 3.6/6. The CW aired a "Supernatural" rerun.
The Lakers-Magic game held steady at 10, posting a 6.5/11. "The Mentalist" scored a 5.7/10 for CBS, while a second hour of "The Listener" drew a 3.7/6.
