TV ratings: FOX's 'Dance' ticket gets demo win Wednesday

NBC had some close competition, but got the overall ratings win Wednesday night, although the adult demo crown was snatched away by FOX and its fast-stepping "So You Think You Can Dance" Top 10.

NBC averaged 7.41 million viewers and a 4.6 rating/8 share in households for the night, just edging out FOX's 6.85 million and ABC's 6.43 million (both received a 4.3/8). Fourth place went to NBC with 5.89 million, 3.5/6, while The CW only mustered up 940,000 viewers and a 0.6/1.

ABC: "Wipeout" (7.7 million viewers, 4.3/8 households)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" (6.9 million, 4.4/8)
