On "Heroes" this season, Milo Ventimiglia has struggled to master his superpowers. In the thriller "Pathology," he'll struggle with med school classes.
According to the industry trade papers, the Ventimiglia, Alyssa Milano, Lauren Lee Smith and Johnny Whitworth will star for director Marc Schoelermann and producers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor ("Crank").
Taylor and Neveldine wrote the script, which focuses on a Philadelphia-based intern (Ventimiglia) with a specialty in pathology. He falls in with a fast-moving crowd who fill their idle time by attempting to commit the perfect murder.
Milano ("Who's the Boss") will play the fiance of Ventimiglia's character, with Smith ("The Last Kiss") and Whitworth ("3:10 to Yuma") as med students.
Production is set to begin in May and MGM will release the film in the United States.
"Pathology" returns Ventimiglia to the Philadelphia setting of his most recent feature project, "Rocky Balboa." The actor, who plays Peter Petrelli on "Heroes," has also appeared on "The Bedford Diaries," "Gilmore Girls" and "American Dreams."Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
