'Shattered'

This 2004 reality show from the UK took competition to a new, sadistic level: £100,000 was up for grabs for the contestant who could stay awake the longest. Producers incorporated teddy bears, massages, and other challenges to lull the group to sleep. Eventually, a contestant won after tolerating more than a week of sleep deprivation.
