Although Willa Ford found great chemistry with her "Dancing With the Stars" partner, she's agreed to marry another man.
The singer is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, hockey player Mike Modano, reports Us Weekly.
"We were out to dinner the other night, and I think he had [the ring] with him the entire night," says Ford at the Arby's Action Sports Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday night (Nov. 30). "He was really nervous. Then right before we went to sleep he asked me and I said, 'Yes.'"
Modano, 36, a center for the Dallas Stars, met Ford, 25, at a charitable event four years ago, and they've been dating on and off since. They plan to wed when the hockey season ends.
Ford, born Amanda Williford, had a hit with the song "I Wanna Be Bad" and performed with the Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls for one season. During her time on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," many assumed that she was dating her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiv.
"Look I'm engaged," she told "Extra." "Everybody thought it was going to be Max. Max is a great friend."
Ford isn't turning her back on Chmerkovskiv though. She will partner with him again when the "Dancing With the Stars" tour kicks off in San Diego on Dec. 19.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
