March 7: Where's Farrah?

The "In Memoriam" segment at <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVHST000005" title="Academy Awards" href="/topic/entertainment/movies/academy-awards-EVHST000005.topic">the Oscars</a> was a typically somber moment as it paid tribute to those in the show-business community who had died in the past year. Or most of them -- <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB001648" title="Farrah Fawcett" href="/topic/entertainment/television/farrah-fawcett-PECLB001648.topic">Farrah Fawcett</a> and <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB000241" title="Bea Arthur" href="/topic/entertainment/bea-arthur-PECLB000241.topic">Bea Arthur</a> were two glaring omissions. The academy said their exclusion was due to the fact that they were best-known for the TV work, but it still rubbed us the wrong way.<br>
