Sean Hayes filled Neil Patrick Harris' shoes as host of the Tony Awards with aplomb, changing costumes several times (Billy Elliot, Annie, Spider-Man) and implicitly taking on the Newsweek critique that he was hard to buy playing a straight man by planting a sloppy kiss on his "Promises, Promises" co-star, Kristin Chenoweth. Less fun, at least for us, was Catherine Zeta-Jones' oh-so-dramatic rendition of "Send in the Clowns." She was technically great, but the number is just such a downer.
