'E.R.' Doc Administers Directing 'Test'

Noah Wyle is preparing to make his directing debut on "Prince Test," an independently produced romantic comedy.

A five-time Emmy nominee for his many seasons on "E.R.," Wyle will begin production on "Prince Test" in April in Chicago, with Dolphin Entertainment financing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Prince Test" focuses on a female private investigator entrusted with testing the fidelity of engaged or married men. Rachel Weinhaus wrote the original script, with J.P. Manoux contributing a rewrite.

Wyle's run as John Carter on NBC's long-running medical drama finally came to an end last season. Wyle's feature credits include "A Few Good Men" and "The Myth of Fingerprints." In addition, the actor has had success with TNT's "Librarian" franchise, beginning with 2006's "Quest for the Spear" and continuing later this year with "Return to King Solomon's Mines."
