It's 'Chuck' Versus 'The Chipmunks'

Zachary Levi is trading chop-socky for chipmunks.

Levi, the star of NBC's action-comedy spy game "Chuck," has signed on for a big-screen role in "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Levi won't be replacing Jason Lee as Dave Seville, owner and manager of the musical rodents, but will instead step into a similar role as Dave's cousin.

Lee will not reprise his role as Dave from the original "Alvin and the Chipmunks," but Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney will return as the voices of Alvin, Simon and Theodore.
