Why one artist has painted comic book “frescos” in storm drain tunnels

For L.A.-based artist Evan Skederstu, that meant teaming up with Gavin Lawson and making multiple trips into a storm drain tunnel, where they painted panels of Evan’s comic directly onto the concrete walls. Tom Carroll headed underground to see the work firsthand and talk with Evan about why the trek was worth the effort.
