Entertainment and pro football executive Steve Tisch joins LACMA’s board of trustees

Steve Tisch, an award-winning film and television producer and chairman of pro football’s New York Giants, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Tisch, a partner in the production company Escape Artists, has produced motion pictures, including the Oscar-winning ‘Forrest Gump,’ ‘Risky Business’ and ‘The Pursuit of Happyness.’

His television credits include the Emmy-nominated 1984 movie ‘The Burning Bed’ with Farrah Fawcett.

Tisch joined the New York Giants of the National Football League as executive vice president in July 2005 and, after the death of his father, team co-owner Preston Robert Tisch, he assumed the additional title of chairman.

An art collector for more than 30 years, Tisch owns works by artists such as Ed Ruscha, David Hockney, Robert Mapplethorpe, John Baldessari and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
