Zsa Zsa Gabor, who returned to the hospital Friday after a brief return home earlier in the week, requested and received last rites on Sunday, her publicist John Blanchette told L.A. Now.
The actress had been speaking Saturday, he said, but took a turn for the worse Sunday morning and hadn’t spoken since the priest’s visit. Her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt was at her side, Blanchette said.
Her daughter, Constance Francesca Hilton, also was at her mother’s bedside Sunday, according to publicist Edward Lozzi. Hilton released a statement Sunday explaining that doctors had been ‘relieving blood clots with basic procedures.’
She also criticized a ‘circus of paparazzi’ -- which she accused Von Anhalt of organizing -- that resulted in a grim picture of Gabor in the ambulance being snapped after the actress was discharged from the hospital Wednesday.
Doctors at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center planned to try to get Gabor to eat on her own Monday, Blanchette said Sunday.
