The Board of Supervisors has named 23 members to the newly formed Citizens Advisory Committee on Bolsa Chica.

The committee members include Huntington Beach City Council members Ruth Finley, Peter Green and Bob Mandic and representatives of various groups such as Amigos de Bolsa Chica, Citizens for the Bolsa Chica Marine Park, the Sunset Beach Community Assn., Huntington Harbour residents, Citizens Against the Re-route of Pacific Coast Highway (CARP) and other local residents and merchants.

The committee will act in an advisory capacity to the Orange County Environmental Management Agency and the Board of Supervisors, representing community opinion and their organizations’ viewpoints on the controversial proposed development of the 1,600-acre Bolsa Chica wetlands, one of Southern California’s last remaining coastal salt marshes.
