Tustin : Push Is On to Expand Annual Chili Cook-Off
Efforts are under way to make this year’s El Camino Real Chili Cook-Off even bigger than last year’s, which drew more than 2,000 people and raised more than $2,000 for charity.
The cook-off, planned for June 2, needs sponsors, vendors and teams to raise funds for this year’s designated charity, COPES Inc., which provides protective services for abused children.
Sponsorship ranges from $100 to $1,000, with a variety of benefits returned to the sponsor. Vendors are needed to sell souvenirs and food items.
Team registration is open. International Chili Society rules apply, and there is a $25 entrance fee.
Last year’s awards went to the best-decorated booth and the team that showed the most spirit.
